Spring has sprung. The birds are singing, the sun is out, the days are getting longer, the nights are getting warmer and the aroma of new blossoms is everywhere. But for one in five New Zealanders, spring is also the start of the hay fever season as the pollen in the spring air creates havoc for their sinuses.
Hay fever affects different people in different ways but the symptoms are familiar to most: a nose that’s itchy and running like a tap, irritated, watery eyes, incessant sneezing and tissues piling up everywhere as your nose gets increasingly rubbed raw.
