Key 1 produces a full-bodied coffee with rich and complex flavors, using the ideal dose of 18 to 22g of freshly ground beans. Key 2 delivers sweet, delicious, and nuanced flavor notes with a 200-degree F water temperature. Key 3 delivers perfectly extracted espresso using a low-pressure pre-infusion, followed by a high-pressure 9-bar extraction process. Finally, the 4th key is a perfectly textured milk, which is made possible with high-pressure steam. To create a balanced espresso shot, you need to find the optimal extraction, which baristas call ""dialing in."" This is where choosing the right grind size is essential. If your espresso flows too fast, it's under-extracted and you should decrease the grind size. If your espresso flows too slow, it's over-extracted and you need to increase the grind size.
