Always wanted a modern espresso machine and this little one is perfect for me and my partner! I am slowly building my skills in the barista field after completing a course 2 years ago and this has made a huge impact on my progress! 'Honest' appraisal

I have owned a Breville Duo-Temp Pro for almost two years and it has been one of the best purchases I have made in my life. Perhaps I am biased due to the fact that I am Colombian, and I am extremely serious about drinking coffee from coffee bean sourcing, blending, roasting, grinding, etc. The Duo-Temp Pro is not only fairly priced but also performs at a higher level in comparison with other expresso machines from other brands at the same price range. I strongly advise buying the perfect complement for this expresso machine which is a Breville grinder; I bought the Dose Control Pro, but there are other options at a lower price range.

Fantastic machine at price point

I bought this 3 weeks ago to replace an 11yo and much loved via venezia and couldn't be happier with the choice. The quality of the shot is great and get good crema each time, couple this with a microfoam capable frother and it's an all round great package. The pricing of this machine was very sharp and picked up at Big W well under RRP. The portafilter and switches etc. feel quite solid and well made, hopefully it will last a long time. If you're new to home espesso then it may seem a little daunting at first but if you read all the instructions you'll be making great home coffee in no time that'll be as good as the average cafe.

Coffee beans...whipped cream...mmm. Thanks Breville, I love my Duo-Temp Pro.

Fantastic Espresso

This is the 2nd Breville Esspresso machine we have purchased.  We have tried a few different brands including some of the top ones one the market & always come back to Breville.  You consistently get a fantastic coffee from the Breville machines providing you have good beans of course.  Every aspect which you expect from an espresso including when you buy one from a coffee shop you can get every single time from the Breville machine & you dont have to have one of brevilles top of the line either, we will always stick to Brevillee for our espressos.  Not only do we always get a good espresso with fantastic crema, but the product has always lasted us a long time making numerous coffees every day!!!

Great machine!

I received the Duo-Temp Pro for Christmas in 2014, and I'm still in love with it in May 2020. Beautiful rich espresso forms the basis of so many coffee drinks and this machine does it perfectly, especially with good quality fresh beans ground with a decent burr grinder. This combined with being easy to look after gives it longevity, something that will always put Breville at the top of my appliance shopping list. Highly recommend if you want delicious coffee at home without an eye watering price tag.

Great Simple Espresso Machine

Great machine for those who prefer a hands on approach & don’t want to fork out stupid money. 
I use freshly ground beans, (beans kept in a vacuum container), fresh cold milk, & measure/tamp as per the instructions. 
I do not use the trimming tool. Unnecessary. 
Steaming the milk is easy & stretches the milk perfectly for latte or cappuccino. 
I make better espresso with this machine than all but one of my local cafe’s in a coffee loving (coffee snob) area. 
Breville’s idea of discharging the super heated water from the coils after steaming ready for the next espresso is brilliant. 
Only gripe - you need very strong finger nails to remove the single shot basket from the group head. Too tight a fit.
