Overview

The position of the oven rack is almost as important as the cooking temperature. Recommended rack positions have been determined for specific cooking functions to help achieve the best results.

Depending on your countertop oven model, the recommended rack position may be highlighted on the oven display or indicated on the oven door. Some models also feature a magnetic auto-eject rack that partially extends when the oven door is opened.

Procedure

1. Identify the recommended rack position.
   • Select your desired cooking function.
   • Check the oven display or oven door for the recommended rack position, depending on your model.
   • Use the indicated position to help achieve optimal cooking results.
2. Check the wire rack orientation.
   • Oven racks may be inserted in an upward-facing or downward-facing orientation.
   • On some models, changing the rack orientation also changes the cooking position.
   • Ensure the rack is oriented correctly for your intended cooking position.
3. Understand the magnetic auto-eject rack feature.
   • The magnetic auto-eject rack is available on select models, including:
     • Smart Oven
     • Smart Oven Pro
     • Smart Oven Air Fryer BOV860
     • Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro
     • Joule Oven Air Fryer Pro
   • When the wire rack is inserted into rack position 3 or 4, it automatically extends halfway out of the oven when the door is opened.
   • This feature makes it easier to access and remove food.
   • Always open the oven door slowly when using the magnetic auto-eject rack.

Using the recommended rack position and orientation helps achieve the best results for your selected cooking function. If your oven includes a magnetic auto-eject rack, the rack will automatically extend halfway when the door is opened while the rack is in position 3 or 4.
