Measurements:

1 kg ripe pineapple
peeled and coarsely chopped (you’ll need 700g flesh)
20 g piece fresh turmeric
1 kg watermelon
rind removed and coarsely chopped (you’ll need 600g flesh)
1 (350 g) small ruby red grapefruit
peeled and pith removed, plus extra for garnish

Instructions

With the motor on High speed, place the pineapple into the feed chute and use the food pusher to gently guide the pineapple down. Repeat with the turmeric.
Tip: To extract the maximum amount of juice, always push the food pusher down slowly.

Switch to Low speed and juice the watermelon and grapefruit.

Stir gently to combine, then pour into chilled glasses. Garnish with grapefruit and serve immediately.
