Air-Fried Teriyaki Chicken

Ingredients
Measurements:
1 kg boneless chicken thighs, skin on
1 tsp sesame seeds
2 green onionsthinly sliced
For the teriyaki sauce
⅓ cup (80 ml) soy sauce
2 tbsp mirin
3 tbsp (70 g) honey
1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
1 tbsp finely grated ginger
2 cloves garlicminced
1 tsp sesame oil

Whisk all the teriyaki sauce ingredients together in a large bowl.

Add the chicken and turn to coat.

Insert the wire rack into position 4. Set the oven to Air Fry, Super Convection, 210°C, for 19 minutes, confirm Rotate Remind and press Start to preheat. Meanwhile, continue to the next step.

Place the chicken, skin side up, in the roasting pan and pour over the marinade from the bowl. Sprinkle with the sesame seeds.

Once preheated, place the pan in the oven and cook for 19 minutes. When the Rotate Remind signals, rotate the pan and continue cooking.

To test if the chicken is cooked, insert a meat thermometer into the thickest part, it should read a minimum of 74°C. If not, cook it for a few more minutes.

Cut each thigh into three pieces on the diagonal. Reserve the pan juices, to serve.

Drizzle with the pan juices and sprinkle with the onions. Serve with steamed rice, if desired.
