Essential Espresso

Rich, bold, and beautifully balanced, this classic espresso delivers that perfect moment of stillness before the day begins. Fresh, high-quality ingredients come together to create a deeply aromatic shot with a velvety crema that speaks for itself. Simple, pure, and utterly satisfying, this is the cup that sets the standard for everything that follows.

Instructions

  • 1

Place the portafilter under the grind and tamp outlet. On the touchscreen, select Espresso. Press the Grind icon. The machine will automatically dose and tamp.

  • 2

Once the grind and tamp is complete, place the portafilter under the group head. Place a cup under the portafilter. On the touchscreen, select Single and tap the Brew icon to begin extraction.

  • 3

Check the extraction. The espresso should flow steadily and produce a rich, golden crema. If the shot runs too fast or too slow, adjust the grind size and re-extract.

Tip: If the extraction runs too slow or drips, the grind is too fine. If it runs too quick, the grind is too coarse.
