Meet Your Host
Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Otto always had a desire to learn about science. After graduating with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Kansas State University, Otto pursued work in the prestigious world of fine dining. He began his stint at Heston Blumenthal’s The Fat Duck restaurant as a stagier in January 2006. During his 16 years with that restaurant group, Otto touched every aspect of the business, contributing to TV series and books and overseeing recipes, menus, products, and partnerships as Head of Development for The Fat Duck Group. Otto now leads the Breville Test Kitchen, the team behind hits like Miso Salmon, Air-Fried Parmesan Broccoli, and all those delectable wings.
