How to clean the drip tray

Share with friends

As you use The Oracle® to create delicious third-wave specialty coffee beverages like cappuccinos, Americanos, lattes, and more, the drip tray of the machine will fill up with water, espresso, milk, and coffee residue. It’s essential to keep the machine clean, so it is always ready to brew another coffee. We recommend emptying and cleaning the drip tray periodically, and certainly when the ‘Empty Me’ indicator pops up. Follow along with the video to see exactly how to do so. First, remove the drip tray from the espresso machine and empty it out into the sink. Then, using hot water, gentle dish soap, and a soft scrub brush, give the tray and its components a thorough cleansing. This is also a great time to clean the storage tray that holds your tools. For this, skip the scrub brush—you don’t want to damage the non-stick surface of the storage tray. Next, fully dry the drip tray, its components, and the storage tray before reinserting them into the machine. Now, you’re ready to create your next delicious brew!
