The Breville | Sage Research Kitchen is a community of home chefs, food and coffee lovers who share insights, experiences and feedback through various research opportunities. Your input helps Breville | Sage product teams develop better and more relevant products.

To sign up, you must create an account with Breville | Sage Research Kitchen and validate your email. Once in, there’s an onboarding survey (so we can involve you in research that interests you) and a non-disclosure agreement (to keep the lawyers happy).
The whole process takes about 5-10 minutes (we have tried our very best to make it as painless as possible). All your information is, of course, kept strictly confidential and you can leave at any time (taking your personal information with you).

What we do:
In the Breville | Sage Research Kitchen, we carry out a variety of different activities to gain insights that help create new and better Breville | Sage products.
Participation is up to you:
We will let you know exactly what the research involves if you are invited - then it’s up to you to decide what you want to participate in!
Types of research activities:
We carry out a range of research activities depending on what we are trying to find out. This includes:
- Face-to-face research (one on one or in groups)
- Product Testing*
- Home visits*
- Online interviews and workshops
- Other online activities
*We only test small numbers of products so this research is less common.
Please note: we cannot guarantee that you will be invited to participate in a specific research type or activity - it is all dependent on what the teams are working on at the time.
How you can be involved:
Online community:
Provide us with feedback or ideas about anything kitchen related. You can also try out recipes our recipe team are developing and tell us what you think of them!
Research activities:
You will be emailed an invitation to participate in a research activity (with details of the activity and gift). If you don’t want to participate in an activity or want to leave the Research Kitchen at any time, that is your decision. No hard feelings.
What you get:
Besides our undying gratitude for helping us make better products, we want to give you actual tangible things for your time and effort, this includes:
Most research activities: Online gift cards (value outlined in invitation email)
Online surveys: Entered in a draw to win a Breville | Sage appliance
Ongoing participation: For everything you take part in, you get community points. We're working on a system to give you discounts on Breville | Sage appliances with these (keep tuned) and the more points you have, the more likely we are to use you in product testing research.
