Great pizza results

Awesome unit that will cook a decent size pizza in a few minutes. I use this a lot and it has become a permanent appliance on my kitchen counter. I prefer cooking outdoors with an outdoor propane fired pizza oven that I have but for all year round this crispy crust pizza maker is awesome. Sure it may take a few minutes longer that a propane or wood fired oven but the results are almost the same. I use the 00 flour and achieve an excellent crust every time. I bought Breville as I have other products of theirs that have lasted a long time, including a wok that has lasted over 15 years with substantial use.

Excellent Pizza Pizza Maker

Loved this pizza maker. First time I bought it I had trouble with the crust sticking to the stone and my toppings sticking to the element. I learned that your dough can't be too wet and the toppings can't be too high.I would like to see a bit more clearance for toppings. The only other thing I would say needs to be improved is that there is no latch holding the pizza maker shut. I went to lift it off the counter by the handle and it opened the stone fell out and smashed. it would be great to be able to secure the lid while carrying and storing. Other than that it is fantastic! I promptly bought another one after I smashed the first one because the pizzas came out perfectly!

This thing is fantastic!!

I bought this today and was lucky enough to get it at a thrift store. Even for the full price it is worth it. I have a pizza stone in my oven, but my oven is large. This is a countertop unit and works amazing. I followed the instructions exactly and my 12 inch frozen .pizza took only 6 minutes to cook to perfection. I did not have to heat my big convection oven and heat the whole kitchen up, and this is absolutely one of my favorite Breville countertop appliances now. I have many Breville appliances and I highly recommend this for anyone who enjoys real brick oven type of crust and taste. A total winner!

I wonder if they've "improved" it?

My Breville Crispy Crust pizza maker, which I bought 5 years ago, hits a working temperature of 655 degrees in about 8 minutes. This is not as hot as their other pizza oven, and not hot enough to make decent neapolitan pizza. But it's hotter than anyone else's oven at this price and I work with it. It can make excellent pizza! Now this article sez the new one can only do 572 degrees, more like a normal oven. If that's true, then why even buy this at all? I hope that temperature was a mistake, and not Breville downspecificationing this oven to try to make the more expensive one look better.

Loved the pizza, not the longevity

I used this oven about once a month over the course of a year and half. Enjoyed it very much, and the results were great once I figured out that building my pizza on parchment paper was the way to go.

However, recently when I sent to use the oven, it blew my circuit breaker. I'm past the warranty, obviously. I've opened it up as much as I could to look at the wires and check for issues, but couldn't spot anything I could fix. Tried it again, and it still blows the circuit.

Unfortunate, as I really looked forward to using this oven. I'm certainly reluctant to buy another.

A Bit Disappointed

Received for my birthday July 17 Made pizza tonight July 24/21 Pre-heated for 1 hr. Stone only registered 446F
Took 22 min to cook a simple Ham & Pineapple on thick crust highest setting. 10oz dough. Uneven browning of cheese, outer rim crust not brown at all. 2nd 4 meat pizza took 35 min. Obviously stone needed to be re-heated. Our home oven does a much better job in around 10 - 12 min Based on this first experience I was a bit disappointed. Will see what happens in subsequent pizza’s. Can’t recommend at this time. .

Disappointment

I bought this oven and in no time, I could not use it. The pizza stone turned pitch black despite my best efforts to protect it with parchment paper. Once the stone turned black, it smoked up the whole kitchen and turned our ceiling black. Then, I was not able to purchase a replacement clean/white stone. It's poorly designed and the company is not helping me to make this machine workable going forward by making it easy to replace the pizza stone.

Crispy Crust Pizza Maker.

Great service. I had a problem with the new pizza maker. Replacing my pizza oven was very quick. The new one works perfect. Thank you for a great service.
