Because extraction is affected by ambient temperature, humidity, and the age of the coffee beans, you’ll want to monitor the extraction each time. If the espresso flows too quickly, it is a sign that the grind is too coarse. Simply turn the dial to a finer setting for the next grind. Likewise, if the espresso flows too slowly, this can be corrected with a slightly coarser grind setting. Watch the extraction each time you brew to always achieve that perfect cup of coffee.
