That means regularly cleaning every part—even the littlest accessories. 
Your machine’s shower screen is the perfect example: though small, its cleanliness has a major impact on the quality of your shot. Without regular maintenance of your shower screen, coffee residue can build up, affecting the taste and quality of your brews. To clean the shower screen, run water through an empty group head to wash any residual grounds off the shower screen.
