How to create latte art
With the Breville Dual Boiler™, you can create your own barista-quality third wave specialty coffee at home and finish them off with some inspired latte art for a more professional touch! Join real-life barista, Leo Schmidt as she shows users how to create café-quality latte art with their Breville Dual Boiler™. We explain the crucial elements to making latte art: a good extraction, microfoam milk, and lots of practice! You’ll also need a high-pressure steam wand and a milk temperature of 260F. Follow our step-by-step guide or watch along. 1) From a high angle, pour a thin, constant stream of microfoam milk into a tilted cup of espresso—aim for the center of the crema. 2) As the cup fills, bring it upright to avoid spillage. 3) Draw the tip of the milk jug close to the cup—nearly touching. 4) When a white dot appears, continue to pour steadily as it grows. 5) From here, you can create all sorts of designs and shapes.
