Measurements:
Insert the wire rack into position 4. Set the oven to Air Fry, Super Convection, 400°F, for 18 minutes and press Start to preheat. Meanwhile, continue to the next step.
Place the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder and salt in a large bowl and stir to combine. Add the chicken and turn to coat. Add the barbecue sauce and turn to coat.
For easy cleaning and to avoid burning, line the roasting pan with foil. Place the chicken, skin side up, in the pan. Scrape out any excess sauce that’s in the bowl and spread over the chicken.
Once preheated, place the pan in the oven and air fry for 18 minutes. When the oven signals at the end of cooking, adjust the oven to Broil, High, for 2 minutes and press Start.
The chicken should be lightly charred and is ready when a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part, away from the bone, reads a minimum of 165°F. If not, broil a little longer.
Remove the chicken from the oven, spoon over some of the pan juices and serve.
