How to clean the drip tray
Hello, espresso aficionado! With the Breville Barista Express®, you can create your own café-quality third wave coffee in your own kitchen. This popular machine lets you grind, dose, and extract your espresso all at once, allowing for a beautiful cup in under a minute. Soon enough, you’ll be making lattes like the experts—but that means you need to clean like one, too. For the best-quality espresso, you must regularly clean and maintain your machine. In this video, our host demonstrates how to clean the drip tray and storage tray included with your Barista Express®. You can do this during your regular clean, or when the drip tray floater reads “Empty Me.” Remove your grill from the drip tray, and empty out all the water and old coffee. Give it a good clean with hot soapy water, ensuring that all residue is removed. You can also clean your storage tray during this time, though be sure to avoid any abrasive scrubbing devices, as they can damage its surface. Use a damp cloth instead, and be sure to rinse and dry it thoroughly before returning it to the machine.
