How to create latte art: the tulip & rosetta
The Barista Pro™ makes it easy to finish your third wave specialty coffee with beautiful latte art using creamy, delicious, and perfectly textured microfoam milk. In this video, we'll show you how to make The Dot, then how to master The Heart before continuing to The Tulip and The Rosetta. To form a latte tulip, hold the coffee cup at an angle, increasing the surface area of the coffee. Next, begin pouring the milk from several inches above the coffee. As the cup starts to fill, slowly straighten the cup, bringing the milk closer to the surface of the coffee. When a dot of milk forms on the surface, pause the pouring briefly, then resume just next to the first dot. Again pause, then resume. Finally, draw the last of the milk through the arcs, creating a tulip. Pouring The Rosetta begins the same way, with the cup tilted and pouring from a few inches above. As you straighten the cup and bring the milk closer, begin to gently wiggle the milk spout back and forth, forming a zigzag of milk on the surface. Near the end, draw the milk through the “leaves,” creating a rosetta.
