Insert the oven rack into position 3 Down. Set the oven to Air Fry, Super Convection, 400°F, for 12 minutes and press Start to preheat. Meanwhile, continue to the next step.
Place the bacon and ¼ cup (2 fl oz) water in the roasting pan.
Place the tater tots in the air fry basket and shake the basket to spread evenly in a single layer.
Once preheated, place the bacon on the oven rack and the tater tots into position 1 and air fry for 12 minutes. When the oven signals, add the lighter part of the onion to the bacon and stir. Continue cooking.
When the oven has 1 minute remaining on the timer, remove the bacon and onion. Adjust the oven to 425°F, for 10 minutes and continue air frying the tater tots, shaking the basket halfway through. Meanwhile, continue to the next step.
To make the seasoning salt, place all the spices in a bowl and mix to combine. Set aside.
To make the garlic cream, place all the ingredients in a bowl and whisk until smooth. Set aside.
Drain the bacon and onion mixture on paper towel and set the pan aside.
The tater tots should be golden and crisp. If not, press A Bit More.
Transfer the tater tots to the roasting pan. Sprinkle with the seasoning salt and toss to coat. Top with the cheese and the bacon and onion mixture.
Move the oven rack to position 1 Down. Adjust the oven time to 3 minutes and press Start to preheat.
When the oven signals, place the loaded tater tots in the oven and air fry for 3 minutes. When the oven signals halfway through cooking, rotate the pan and continue cooking.
The cheese should be melted. If not, press A Bit More.
Top the tater tots with the garlic cream and sprinkle with the green part of the onion. Serve.
