Line the roasting pan with 2 large strips of foil. Place the ribs upside down on the foil. Sprinkle with half the spice rub. Turn the ribs over and sprinkle with the remaining spice rub. Fold the foil over the ribs to seal.
Insert the oven rack into position 2 Down. Set the oven to Air Fry, Super Convection, 375°F, for 1 hour and press Start to preheat.
Once preheated, place the ribs in the oven and air fry for 1 hour. Ignore the Turn/Shake signal during cooking.
The ribs should be tender and easily separate from the bone when cut with a knife. If not, reseal and press A Bit More.
Remove the ribs from the roasting pan and foil. Line the roasting pan with a clean piece of foil, place the broiling rack in the pan. Place the ribs on the rack and brush all over with the barbecue sauce.
Place the pan in the oven. Set the oven to Broil, High, for 10 minutes and press Start.
The ribs should be caramelized. If not, press A Bit More.
